The Greco-Roman portion of the Cadet National Championships finally kicked off with its preliminary round on Wednesday in Fargo, ND. The younger division wrestled through to the championship quarterfinals, with eight other competitors still alive in the consolation side of the bracket.

Those brackets can be found on FloArena, which you can use to follow all the action on Thursday. Before day six begins, however, wet your appetite with these early matches, featuring the biggest Greco bombs of Fargo to date.



We put out a request for assistance in identifying as many of these incredible throws as possible, and you guys did an awesome job responding. Check out just some of the matches containing recommended Greco bombs below.

Silas Allred, Indiana vs. Ian Sepan, Colorado

Allred got knocked into the consolations in the round of 32, but he made up for that loss with this incredible duck under to a back arch for five points against Ian Sepan, right before the end of the first period. Allred is still alive in the wrestlebacks in his quest for Fargo All-American status.

Tyler Sepulveda, California vs. Spenser Gordan, Alabama

Tyler Sepulveda was also knocked into the consolation round from the round of 32. In the consolation matches, he made waves with this massive toss for five against Spencer Gordon. Sepulveda is also still alive for a third-place finish.

Silas Allred, Indiana vs. Jacob Robles, Arizona

Before he was hitting fives in the consolation, Silas Allred was also getting it done in the first round of the tournament. Here, he takes Jacob Robles for a ride right around the two-minute mark of the first period.

Paxton Creese, Minnesota vs. Barajas, Oregon

Paxton Creese came to Fargo to make a lot of noise in the Greco tournament. He helped his cause by hitting two big throws in a row against Freddy Barajas in the opening round of the 100lb weight class.

Carson Manville, Minnesota vs. Kyle Parco, California

Carson Manville may have gotten launched early in his bout against Kyle Parco, but he eventually battled back to win the match 15-7, keeping Manville's hopes alive of adding a Greco title to go along with his freestyle stop sign. Nonetheless, we would be remiss if we didn't highlight Parco's savage five-pointer.

Braxton Amos, West Virginia vs. Nathan Bishop, Indiana

No list of power bombs would be complete without an appearance from Braxton Amos. Just about any of his matches could be included, but we especially enjoyed Amos closing out the day with his toss of Nathan Bishop in the round of 16.
