The rising senior comes in at No. 63 on our just released Class of 2018 Big Board. The three-time state champ is 16th at 152 in our most recent weight class rankings, and could very likely be in the top ten when a fresh set of rankings come out.

Franek is well travelled, having won a Fargo cadet freestyle title last year at 145, and was runner-up at FloNationals in April. Most recently, he placed 4th at 69kg in Akron. The West Fargo star projects as a 149 pounder for the Bison, where he will join former teammates Jesse Shearer and Brandon Metz on the NDSU roster.

Watch Franek gutsily choose to ride out Pennsylvania runner-up Josh Stillings in the FloNats semis
