In 2014 Jimmy Kennedy won the World Team Trials and represented the United States in Tashkent, Uzbekistan at the World Championships at 61kg.

In 2015 he moved up to 65kg and beat Logan Stieber in the finals of the U.S. Nationals.

At the U.S. Open a few weeks back Kennedy finished fourth in a solid field at 65kg. He lost to Frank Molinaro 8-4 in the semifinals and 4-3 to Zain Retherford in the third place match.

He is making yet another move up. Jimmy Kennedy will be entering the World Team Trials at 70kg. Kennedy wrestled in the World Team Trials for the 70kg spot at the Bill Farrell International last November, where he beat Nazar Kulchytskyy in the quarters, then IMAR in the semifinals and finished runner-up to Jordan Oliver in the mini tournament. That would lead you to believe Kennedy will get a good seed at the World Team Trials in June with the wrestlers below.
