Kevin Beazley announced via twitter that he will be transferring to Michigan. The 2017 All American made the announcement this morning that he will be heading to Ann Arbor after graduating from Old Dominion, where he has spent the last five years.

A native of Howell, Michigan, Beazley will join the Wolverines with a career record of 70-39 after placing eighth in St. Louis last month at the NCAA championships. He was a state champ for Detroit Catholic Central as a senior.

Beazley was second at the 2015 U.S. Open in Greco at 98kg, as well as a two-time junior Greco world team member. He will now be training with Olympic trials runner-up Adam Coon while working on his Master of Science in Sports Management.

Beazley and Coon will anchor Michigan at upperweights, giving them two All Americans along with three-time NCAA qualifier Domenic Abounader. Additionally, the Wolverines return third place finisher Logan Massa at 165, plus 133lb fourth placer Stevan Micic and 174lb fourth placer Myles Amine. Add to that 2016 All American Alec Pantaleo, who just finished fifth at 70kg in the U.S. Open, and the Maize and Blue have a very tough roster next year.
