Weights To Watch At EIWAs
The NCAA postseason is here, and I am stoked! The highly anticipated Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships are set to kick off college wrestling's march to the NCAA Tournament this weekend in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Featuring 16 teams, the EIWA tournament is being hosted at Bucknell University's Sojka Pavilion on Friday, March 3, and Saturday, March 4, and is streaming LIVE on FloWrestling. Here's a look at three weight classes that stand out heading into this weekend.

141 Lbs

No. 3 Matthew Kolodzik (Princeton)
I love the parity at 141, both around the country and, more specifically, in the EIWA conference. Dean Heil is the returning champion, but he's no shoe-in for a second title. Matthew Kolodzik has the ability, technique, and tactics to win an NCAA title as a freshman. He can score in every position, and he can finish a match better then anyone in the country. I don't think I've ever seen him blow a lead.

No. 11 Tyler Smith (Bucknell)
Smith out scrambled Jared Prince on the back end of the bracket of the CKLV tournament this year, but that doesn't mean that he can only score one way. Smith has solid fundamentals and can keep it baseline with his head and hands if he needs to.

No. 12 Jared Prince (Navy)
The Navy freshman is very big for the weight, he uses that length to ankle pick everyone out of their shoes. Prince's top game is solid too, he doesn't always rack up a ton of points, but getting a point from the bottom on him is no easy proposition.

No. 16 Randy Cruz (Lehigh)
Randy Cruz took Matthew Kolodzik into overtime in a dual meet this year. The returning All-American will look to avenge the loss in the

No. 18 Logan Everett (Army)

Logan Everett is as fundamentally solid as it comes and can smell blood in the water better then most. The thing that separates him from many is that he transitions to a turn (or an uncontrolled fall) better then anyone in this EIWA bracket.

174 lbs

No. 2 Brian Realbuto (Cornell)
Being ranked number 2 nationally at a weight like 174 is no small feat. Realbuto's only loss came in the CKLV finals to Zahid Valencia. Like most Cornell athlete's he's extremely stingy with giving up takedown.

No. 6 Ryan Preisch (Lehigh)

Preisch had an epic match with No. 4 Mark Hall in the semi's of the Southern Scuffle this year falling on a last second cement mixer. What impressed me the most about Preisch's Scuffle is the way that he wrestled on the back end of the bracket, he knocked off Ethan Ramos in the consolation finals to take 3rd. His hips are ridiculously heavy, he gets great angles on counter attacks and that could pose a big problem for a guy like Realbuto.

No. 12 Casey Kent (Penn)

Anyone that looks past Casey Kent in this bracket is making a mistake. Forth at NCAA's a year ago, Kent has proven that he is as good as anyone.

No. 16 Jadaen Bernstein (Navy)
Keep a close eye on Bernstein, he can play buster in this weight. He's made a habit of putting people on their back from far ankle scrambles.

184 Lbs

No. 1 Gabe Dean (Cornell)
Just sit back and watch Gabe Dean "Hulk smash" folks.
