With the 2017 Nationals Prep Wrestling Championships coming this weekend, we wanted to remind you all of some of the hammers to come out of that tournament. Remember, action starts at 8:30 am eastern time on Friday, February 24th. Results will be on FloArena and every match will be LIVE on FloWrestling.

Below is a list of guys currently ranked in this week's NCAA FloRankings who attended National Prep schools.

Jack Mueller - Trinity Christian, TX

Mueller is currently a true freshman at Virginia ranked 8th at 125lbs. Last year he became just the 11th four-time champ in National Preps history, with three coming at Trinity Christian and his sophomore title with Wyoming Seminary. But his first one was the most fun, re-live the Southern Scuffle finalist's first Prep title above.

Joey McKenna - Blair Academy, NJ

An All American and junior world silver medalist, McKenna matriculated to Stanford and is their 141 pound star. The sophomore is ranked No. 3 this week and has a 25-1 record heading into the Pac-12 conference tournament, with over half of his wins by bonus. McKenna ended his Blair career with three individual and three team titles.

McKenna's third title

Matt Kolodzik - Blair Academy, NJ

Like his high school teammate McKenna, Kolodzik was also a three-time champ after transferring in from Ohio for his sophomore year. Kolodzik is in position to become an All American this year for Princeton and is ranked 4th at 141 prior to EIWAs.

Kolodzik's dominant finals match earned him OW in 2015

Jordan Kutler - Blair Academy, NJ

Lehigh's 157-pounder bookended his career with Prep titles, winning 106 as a freshman in 2012 and 152 in his senior year. Kutler hopes his freshman year of college ends the same way in a month's time, especially after winning the Southern Scuffle at the beginning of last month.

Peter Galli - St. Paul's, MD

Galli was on a couple of St. Paul's teams full of hammers, and this year's Crusaders team figures big into the team race. In his senior year at Stanford, Galli is ranked 19th at 174 and looking for his first Pac-12 title.

Myles Martin - McDonogh, MD

Few wrestlers made the transition to college look as good as Martin. Entering the NCAA tournament with six losses and as the 11th seed, Martin emerged as a true freshman national champ. Martin was a four-time finalist and three-time champ for McDonogh.

Frank Mattiace - Blair Academy, NJ

Mattiace won two titles at Blair and is now No. 15 at 195 for Penn. He is a great example of a guy who had success at a National Prep school and went on to wrestle for a prestigious school (Penn, Stanford, Lehigh, etc.). Next week's EIWA tournament will be filled with National Prep alumni.

Kyle Snyder - Good Counsel, MD

Not much more needs to be said about this kid, but since it's fun to say, he was the youngest world champ and youngest Olympic gold medalist in USA Wrestling's history. The only reason Snyder didn't win four titles is because he spent his senior year training at the Olympic Training Center. Snyder also was never taken down in high school.

Brooks Black - Blair Academy, NJ

Another three-time champ and four-time finalist, Black was one of the best recruits in the country back in 2013. The Illinois junior is No. 15 at heavyweight prior to the Big Ten tournament.
