As expected, it was a battle. And South Dakota State sophomore Seth Gross did what he had to do to hand Oklahoma State redshirt freshman Kaid Brock his first collegiate loss on Sunday at Gallagher Iba Arena in Stillwater, OK.

Gross, who came into the match ranked seventh, was down early but was able to out-scramble No. 2-ranked Brock to get a much-needed takedown to take the 4-2 lead. After getting an escape in the third period, it was Gross' defense that helped him hold off Brock's attacks to get the win.

Seth Gross' stingy performance makes him our FloWrestler of the Week.

Other FloWrestler of the Week Nominees:

Joey Silva, LHP: Had a flawless outing at WNO Duals that included a clutch win over No. 5 Zach Sherman.

Trevor Mastrogiovanni, Blair: Went undefeated with notable wins over Ryan Chauvin and Shane Hanson-Ashworth to help propel Blair to another WNO Duals title run.

Shane Griffith, Bergen Catholic: Avenged his Beat of the East finals loss by edging out Julian Ramirez 3-2, along with going undefeated on the day.
