Potential Ranked (Re)Matches Of WNO Duals
After taking a loss at No. 7 Wyoming Seminary last week, top-ranked Blair Academy is looking to bounce back and defend its Who's #1 Duals title against some of the best teams in the country in Easton, Pennsylvania, on Sunday. The returning champion Buccaneers are in Pool A along with McDonough, Bergen Catholic and Malvern Prep, while 2016 runner-up Bethlehem Catholic is in Pool B with St. Augustine, Lake Highland Prep and Mount St. Joseph.

The lineups for WNO show a number of possible matchups for ranked hammers hitting this weekend. Some have hit already this year at a few tournaments, so seeing them battle for another round is enough to spike our interest.

You can purchase general admission tickets to watch the best teams in the nation go head-to-head for $12 for adults and $6 for students. Or if you can't make it to Easton Area Middle School, you can watch it all live on FloWrestling.

Here are the ranked matchups that could go down at Who's #1 Duals.

null

106
No. 8 Ryan Chauvin, LHP vs. No. 9 Nico Incontrera, Blair
This would be a rematch of the Ironman quarterfinals, which was won by Chauvin 5-2.

113
No. 4 Michael Colaicco, Blair vs. No. 7 Robert Howard, Bergen Catholic
Colaicco came out on top of the 113-pound bracket at the Beast of the East tournament, where Howard placed third.

126
No. 4 Joey Silva, LHP vs. No. 18 Chris Cannon, Blair
Silva and Cannon met in the quarterfinals of Ironman. Cannon was leading until Silva came back late to get the win and advance to the finals.

Check out Silva vs. Cannon here:

138
No. 7 Malcom Robinson, Blair vs. No. 17 Gerard Angelo, Bergen Catholic
Robinson defeated Angelo 5-1 in the Beast of the East finals. Though the score was close, Robinson was in control of the match the whole way.

152
No. 3 Julian Ramirez, Blair vs. No. 6 Shane Griffith, Bergen Catholic
No. 3 Julian Ramirez, Blair vs. No. 17 Jake Brindley, LHP
No. 6 Shane Griffith, Bergen Catholic vs. No. 17 Jake Brindley, LHP

The rematch that we will see will be Ramirez and Griffith, who met in the Beast of the East finals. Ramirez's stingy defense helped him get the job done against Griffith. If Lake Highland Prep can make it out of its pool, there is a possibility that we could see Brindley get a crack at Ramirez or Griffith if their teams make it through their side as well.

Watch Ramirez vs. Griffith in the Beast of the East finals below:

160
No. 12 Andrew Merola, Blair vs. No. 13 Erich Byelick, LHP
No. 12 Andrew Merola, Blair vs. No. 19 Chris Foca, Bergen Catholic
No. 13 Erich Byelick, LHP vs. No. 19 Chris Foca, Bergen Catholic

Merola and Byelick were on opposite sides of the bracket at Ironman, so they never had a chance to meet. Merola and Foca never had a chance to meet either, because Foca took a loss in the Beast quarters before getting to Merola.

170
No. 1 Mikey Labriola, Bethlehem Catholic vs. No. 3 Ryan Karoly, Malvern Prep (rematch from Ironman finals)
No. 1 Mikey Labriola, Bethlehem Catholic vs. No. 9 Bryce Rogers, LHP (rematch from Disney duals, Rogers won)
No. 3 Ryan Karoly, Malvern Prep vs. No. 9 Bryce Rogers, LHP (rematch from Ironman semis, Karoly won)

This weight class could be the most fun to watch all day. Labriola defeated Karoly in the Ironman finals after Karoly defeated Rogers in the semis. Rogers also defeated top-ranked Labriola at Disney Duals. It's probable that we will see a Disney Duals rematch between Labriola and Rogers; however, it's not a forgone conclusion that Karoly will get another chance against Labriola.

Labriola defeats Karoly to win Ironman:

285
No. 8 Seth Janney, Malvern Prep vs. No. 10 Niko Camcho, Bethlehem Catholic:
These guys have met plenty of times, with their last two meetings coming on back-to-back weekends when they split matches. Camacho came out on top in the Ironman semis before Janney got revenge in the Beast semis. With them being in opposite pools, we will only see this rematch if their teams can navigate their way to the finals.
