You'll see that there are a ton of guys who will be take the trip to the Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, and we won't leave until we hand out 14 belts to 14 champions.

Commentary: A lot of young studs will be stepping up to the high school level. It's going to be great to see how these up-and-comers respond to the new level of competition. But there will be some guys who have proved their worth already and will look to pick up a belt. Along with the number of ranked wrestlers, a few of the guys to watch include Lucas Byrd, who is coming off an injury he suffered in the Fargo finals, Andrew Cerniglia, Eric Faught, Jalen Spuhler, and Cullan Schriever. The last time we saw a lot of these guys they were at lighter weights in Fargo, so the substantial increase in weight could be a factor for some of them. Greg Diakomihalis had a rough outing in Journeymen, so I'd like to see how he responds. He also could make the weight change up to 113 as well, so be on the lookout for that. I really like Faught here, though. He's pretty tough, and I feel that he can do some great things and possibly come away with the belt.

Commentary: As you can see, there are a lot of really good guys at this weight. I'm going to start with my dark horse pick: Robert Howard. He's coming off a winning performance at Journeymen and already owns a few wins over world team member Mosha Schwartz. Howard just made his debut in the rankings and will be looking to continue his winning ways. I'm not sure he's ready for the highest level of competition that he could see at S32, but I do think he can compete well and have a nice finish. Plenty of eyes will be on returning champion Adam Busiello after his sickly finish in Fargo. A guy to watch here is Esco Walker. He is a serious competitor and can be a guy in the mix late. Jojo Aragona snuck up on some people last year and came away with a runner-up finish to Busiello. While another finals appearance may not be in the cards for Aragona, he can still do well. And lastly, watch out for Matt Cardello.

Commentary: Let's start with Carson Manville. The 8th-grader is always fun to watch. He just won the high school division at the Grappler Fall Classic and was a FloNational AA last season as a 7th-grader. Another youngster here is Josh Saunders, who is certainly battle tested. He's taken his lumps against some of the best in the country and is a kid who can definitely make some noise here. Obviously, Drew West and Tommy Hoskins will do what they do. They're too talented to have a quiet showing. I believe that it will be Drew Mattin and Julian Chlebove in the finals.

Commentary: This weight is going to be a ton of fun to watch. Returning finalists Joey Silva and Austin DeSanto are back with a lot of the same guys that they out-placed last season. I really want to see how Alex Thomsen comes back after losing in Fargo. The X-factor here is Jacori Teemer. He's one of the slickest dudes around. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about a potential match between Teemer and returning champ Silva. Both are incredibly impressive, with Silva having more of an attack style and Teemer being a bit more of a counter wrestler with a lot of length. Like I said, this weight is going to be fun to watch.

Commentary: The clear favorite is Cadet World silver medalist Vito Arujau. It's going to be hard keep up with him. A guy I really like outside of front-runner Arujau is Mitch Moore. The Virginia Tech commitment has filled into the weight class nicely and has the strength to compete. That strength is something that his opponents need to look out for, because he is not afraid to toss you to your back. Also be on the lookout for Brian Courtney, who is coming off a winning performance at Journeymen where he out-scrambled Jason Renteria. Nonetheless, I expect Moore and Courtney to hit in the semifinals in a pretty awesome battle. To me, this potential matchup would be a toss-up between Moore's cement job (or cow catcher, depending on where you're from) and Courtney's corner-sitting cradle. My X-factor here is Fargo runner-up Paul Konrath. He'll be lurking and is more than capable of picking up an upset win. But no matter what, I expect Arujau to have too much for anyone he sees in the finals.

Commentary: It's Sasso's world here. He may be coming off a bad loss to top-ranked Nick Lee at Who's #1, but he's still above the competition. Sasso and Aranoff have some history. In one of their matches, Sasso ended up pinning Aranoff, so he'll certainly want some revenge if he gets another crack at the FloNational champion. Jaden Mattox should have a favorable finish, as well. Expect Ben Freeman to make a run on the other side of the bracket to come out and meet Sasso in the final. Those guys have somewhat similar styles, though the scramble ability edge goes to Sasso. If Freeman can keep up with leg-passing gyroscope that is Sasso, he can pull the upset. But I'm expecting Sasso to be too much.

Commentary: Let's cut to the chase, the foursome that I expect to be in a tight battle for first place will be Fargo champ Joe Lee, Fargo champ Anthony Artalona, Cadet World champ Jarod Verkleeren, and returning Super 32 runner-up Austin O'Connor. Artalona just defeated Verkleeren in the Fargo finals a few months ago, so J. Verk is certainly in the hunt for him. Verkleeren looked really good at WNO against Kaden Gfeller, maybe the best I've seen him in a while. If he brings the same thing to S32, he's going to be tough to beat. The other two, O'Connor and Lee, are grinders. There really aren't too many guys that they can't go against. I like Joe Lee to come out on top of it all here, but it will not be easy to navigate these rough waters.

Commentary: Brady Berge had a tough first match back, but I believe it will do him a lot of good going into this grinder of a tournament. The only thing that I see getting in Berge's way, beside Quentin Hovis of course, is his gas tank. He was very winded coming off the mat against Shane Griffith at WNO, but it could have been a little rust after coming off the injury that had him sidelined for a long time. Like I said, Hovis is the guy I see coming out of the other side. I think that he can outlast recent Rutgers commitment Stephan Glasgow in the semis in a close one. Glasgow was a little banged up last year during Super 32, so he will be looking to make the most of the opportunity. But hopefully he can stay composed. If not, it will be tough for him. In the end, I still see Berge with the belt. 

P.S. -- Don't worry Maryland, no one is sleeping on Aaron Brooks this time. In case you live under a rock, Brooks is the guy that lit the Fargo stage on fire this year when he won both Greco and freestyle titles. Let's just say he's talented, and that you should keep an eye on him and his ankle pick.

Commentary: I like Jake Allar and Hunter Bolen to make the finals here. Allar beat Trent Hidlay in both styles in Fargo (pinning him in freestyle) and Hidlay recently defeated Kyle Cochran at Journeymen, so there will probably be a lot of revenge seeking in the later rounds. Bolen is certainly a handful and will give anyone fits. Mekhi Lewis is another guy who can finish high and is a potential contender to make the finals. The one thing that all these competitors should beware of his Hidlay's underhook. It's no secret that it's his offense generator and he is deadly with it. Expect Nick Kiussis to be in the mix too. He's another tough addition to this weight class. Looking down the line though, there are a few guys who I'm very interested in seeing compete, including Chris Foca, Josh Stillings, and Dale Tiongson. Foca won the Beast of the East last year but hasn't been up for the challenge much since. Stillings is another talented guy who ended up with double AA finishes in Fargo this year, so this will be another great test for him. Tiongson impressed me a lot at National Preps last year, where he took a tough 4-3 loss to Fargo champion Ryan Karoly after knocking off Wyoming Sem's Will Verallis, 1-0. So Tiongson can get the job done when called upon. Keep and eye out for these guys.

Commentary: Ladies and gentlemen, get your popcorn ready, because Anthony Mantanona is coming and is always a delight to watch. The FloNational and Fargo Greco champion is extremely unpredictable, and he's got a little something to prove after he did not place in freestyle at Fargo. I don't see him having much of an issue getting the belt here, IF he wrestles the way we all know he can. Even though Mantanona is a favorite here, I can see Bryce Rogers being a downright pain if they meet in the finals. Rogers was one of the nine state champions under last year's FloWrestling Coach of the year Mike Palazzo and can scrap with the best of 'em.

Commentary: I am very excited to see Louie Deprez. To put it simply, he's really good. And he's a hammer on top. We don't get a chance to see him much, so I'm pretty happy he will be in this bracket. Jelani Embree is coming off a bad loss to No. 1 Michael Beard at WNO, so you know he will be in the hunt for the belt. I actually think this weight class will be electric. Kamari Whimper and Nino Bonnacorsi can bring it. I consider Lucas Davison to be a guy who develops throughout every match and it shows. He's still got some work to do, but I think his offense is headed in the right direction. Also watch out for Drew Peck. A very tough kid that is pretty good on his feet.

Commentary: The list of competitors isn't long, but the dudes who are coming are enough to bring the house down. John Borst is a man-child and really burst onto the scene with his huge runner-up performance in Fargo. I feel like Jake Woodley is a bit under the radar despite being ranked in the top 10. He moves well and is a guy that can do well here. I'd like to see Davison open up a bit. I've only seen it happen a few times, and when he gets his offense going he's as good as anyone. However, he's got to get it going first. Raschka is a great competitor, too. He is another guy who put his name on the mat with a big performance in Fargo when he won the stop sign two years ago. And then there's Brandon Whitman. He's got the potential to win it all, but it's very possible that Borst and Fargo runner-up Gavin Hoffman could be wrestling for the belt.

Jr High Big Boarders Headline Super 32 MS Field

One of the top preseason wrestling tournaments will kickoff this weekend as wrestlers from across the country will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the 2016 Super 32 Challenge. This tournament annually brings together some of the the top youth wrestlers in the country and this year will be no different. 

Headlining this year's field of more than 440 wrestlers will be ten wrestlers who finished the 2015-2016 season ranked on the Flo Junior High Big Board. Although many wrestlers featured on the Jr. High Big Board have moved onto compete in the high school portion of the event, we'll take a look at the remaining Jr. High wrestlers who will take their shot at winning the prestigious Super 32 Championship Belt. 

Wyatt Richter from Ohio will look to defend his Super 32 Championship this weekend as he'll compete in the 70-pound weight class. Last year he won the 11 and Under 60-pound title. Another wrestler who will look to defend his title will be 80-pound Stevo Poulin from New York. Last year, Poulin won the 70-pound middle school title with a victory over Sheldon Seymour of X-Calibur. 



Ryan Crookham of Pennsylvania who was ranked by FloWrestling as the No. 34 wrestler in the country will look to win his second consecutive Super 32 Championship this weekend. Last year he defeated No. 45 Gary Steen in the championship. Steen will also compete in this year's event as they will wrestle in different divisions this weekend. Crookham will look to win the 90-pound title while Steen will look to win the 95-pound belt. 

Vincent Zerban, ranked No. 24 by FloWrestling, will also be competing in the 95-pound weight class. Zerban took 3rd at the Tulsa Nationals this past season and won the USA Wrestling Folkstyle National Championship in April. 



Two Jr. High Big Board members will compete in the 100-pound division as No. 27 Maximo Renteria and No. 44 Caden McCrary will battle it out for the top spot. Renteria finished in 2nd place in last year's event as he fell to eventual champion Richard Figueroa 7-1. 

No. 23 Nic Bouzakis from Florida will try to win his first Super 32 Championship as he'll compete in the 105-pound bracket. Wyatt Henson who is ranked No. 49 will try and improve upon his 4th place finish from a season ago. Henson will be one of the favorites in the 112-pound weight class. 

Finally, Flo Tulsa National Champion Tyson Moore will take a crack at winning his first Super 32 Belt. The Missouri native is ranked No. 42 on the last edition of the Jr. High Big Board and he will be one of the favorites in the group that will also featured last year's bronze medalist Victor Voinovich from Ohio.
