Cadet Duals gave us some great matches last weekend—the guys at Junior Duals will have a lot to live up to this weekend. Check out our top eight matches from the Cadet National Duals tournament.

8. Brody Teske vs. Alexander Cruz: I’ve watched John Smith’s leg lace series a few times, and I’ve never seen him show this version. Cruz pulled out some tricks as he got the 10-0 tech over No. 10 Teske.



7. Cullan Schreiver vs. Paxton Creese: Creese is definitely not a guy you want to go upper body with. Creese used No. 4 (Junior High Big Board) Schreiver’s momentum against him to gain the lead as he went on to get the win.



6. Chris Kim vs. Paxton Creese: Creese was on fire going into this match. Unfortunately for him, Kim wasn't afraid of the heat—his deadly headlock put an end to this one in a hurry.



5. Josh Stillings vs. Peter Ferraro: This match was between two offensive wrestlers who were pretty evenly matched and have the same body type: very long and lanky. This one was fun to watch.



4. Wil Guida vs. Lincoln Heck: This was a back-and-forth battle that ultimately went to Heck, but Guida had the opportunity late in the match and couldn’t get it done. The excitement came when Guida took the lead late and Heck hit a third gear to pick up the much-needed points.



3. Anthony Clark vs. Eric Faught: A pair of very promising up-and-comers went to battle. Clark and Faught are highly offensive and both tough to score on. This match definitely showed that on both sides.



 2. Gavin Hoffman vs. Braxton Amos: Amos is a young big guy on the rise and Hoffman has been establishing himself as a serious force with his top finish at the Pennsylvania state tournament this past season. Amos gave Hoffman all he could handle, but a four-point throw by Hoffman made all the difference.



1. Israel Navarro vs. Matt Olguin: At one point in the match, Olguin was being shut out, but you can never count the California state champion out. But Navarro can’t be overlooked, either. Watch as Navarro puts on a lat charge to get the upset:
