Where DT and Dake have zigged, Chris Perry is going to zag heading down from 86kg to 74kg.  Perry has made the national team before at 86kg but has always been regarded as a "tweener" for the international weights.

Perry won two NCAA titles at 174 pounds, 15 pounds lighter than 86kg.  74kg (163.5 pounds) will be an adjustment for Perry, but with the departure of Dake and Taylor, Perry could very well find himself in the mix with Andrew Howe, Nick Marable and perhaps Alex Dieringer and as the top challengers to Jordan Burroughs.

Burroughs, a 4 time World and Olympic Champion is sitting in the Olympic Trials finals already.  Perry is currently on staff at Oklahoma State where he wrestled for his Uncle John Smith.

Here's a look at Chris Perry taking on Andrew Howe back during their college careers.

Proud of our man @chrisperry174 makin the commitment to 74KG! #empiresnotkingdoms #BEHEARD
