Both Altons are obviously very talented as is vlad. vald will improve his folkstyle with time and he has a body with great length that will be tough to handle as his folkstyle skills improve. vlad has beaten Dylan in freestyle and one poster said he beat both brothers in freestyle. I saw the match with Dylan and dylan won a couple rounds and vlad had a big throw on him in another. Both kids are great and it will be a joy to watch them in the future.

Where is Dombroski going to school?

Here's Dombroski vs. Dylan Alton. Beautiful throw to pin at the end. The kid seems suited for free because he likes to throw.

Dombrovski and Alton did wrestle freestyle three times i believe. Vlad beat him twice at the fila jr. world team trials. Alton beat him in the junior national finals/

vlad won the CA state championship his joinior year with only 3 months of folk style wrestling. i would like to see them wrestle a freestyle match.

I don't think Rodebaugh would beat either Alton. The Altons are very, very good on their feet. Rodebaugh isn't as fast or as nimble as either of them.

EDIT: Alton dominated the guy who was good enough to make the SEMI-Finals at Ironman.

btw, Rodebaugh was ranked #19 at 140 while Alton was ranked #1. Give me a break, lol.

PA has more high school and college National Champs and AAs, so IF YOU FOLLOW THE FACTS, it is obvious that PA wrestling IS more dominate then CA

btw, make all the excuses you want, this was a very impressive performance by Alton. He dominated the guy that made it to the finals.

Anyone who says that PA wrestling is more dominate than CA wrestling because of this match, they need to check there facts!

Vlad is a transfer from Ukraine during his sophmore year in high school. Which means he never wrestled folkstyle prior to his sophmore year in high school.
On top of that, Vlad only ended up geting 3rd in CA states. He got pinned in the semis vs Cody Rodebaugh. Check him out on CA states at 140 lbs. He pinned just about everyone, even in the finals with an inside craddle!
I think Cody will give one of the altons a run for their money if he can keep up his hard work.

i wouldnt say that dombrovskis lack of folkstyle experience was that big of a factor i mean he got a reversal on him and he wasnt exactly taking him down

Hey Jarhead, he is NOT 19, Idiot!

this was the start if vlads second year of folkstyle. He ended up being a 2 time california state placer, one time champion. He took 1st his junior year and 3rd his senior year. Not too bad for JUST being introduced to folkstyle.

Yeah I agree, the kid was acting frustrated because he was losing. Or maybe he was mad that he got thrown like that.

The CA kid nothing dirty or illegal. Maybe you guys should become fans of girl's basketball, it appears this sport is a little too physical for you....

Great job by Alton. What the kid from Callie was doing is what is
known as the Bastardized Iowa Style. Just look like your steet fighting
with no real technique or offense. Unfortunately, refs let this crap go.

Anonymous Coward   December 8, 2008 at 10:24pm
that CA kid was throwing dirty blows to the head the whole time, like a little b*tch
