If he wins 3 titles, life is good. But I wouldn't count him out of the 4th one quite yet. Remember, when you talk about not winning convincingly, he is more than 3 years younger than his opponent here as a 14 year old.

doran might probably won't b a 4x er. he'll probably win two more state titles, but not another 3 he didn't win this convincingly

Cody would have no chance in this bracket OR 119
reply
Dave_x   April 13, 2008 at 5:56pm
It is Cody Ophsal and Doran beat him this year 5-1.
reply
Avery Lee Brightwell   April 13, 2008 at 11:59am
Doran is over rated if anybody knows Cody Uphsaul he would have swept the brackett this year easy.

Doran got beat by Hutchinson by 8 points a month and a half prior to this match and lost 11 matches during the season but he continued to improve and peaked at the right time he is a very accomplished wrestler and learns much from defeat and he understands yesterdays loss does not mean you will lose in the future yesterday helps you improve for the future if you are committed and believe in yourself, expect big things from Doran as he has just started his rein as one of the elite wrestlers in the state of Florida and beyond.

Jorge beat all three at the Durant tournament early in the season. In fact, his match against Doran was the very first of Doran's HS career.

Definitely a shame he couldn't compete. Very good wrestler and good kid. Would have made things even more interesting.

Jorge got mono! If you have ever gotten it then you know that it just zaps your body of all your energy! I was told he was only 4 over on tuesday before region so weight was not the issue! Jorge beat doran, rat williams, and jordan cone at the same tourny this year! All of them are state champs!

George sure has a lot of bad luck with illnesses just before the state tournament. Isn't this the second time this kid got sick before one of the state series events?

It's almost as if he....no....couldn't be...

You can include yourself in that statement - right?

Nice job Doran from all of the Butler High School wrestlers. When are moving back to Ohio? Congratulations to you and your family!

Dave_x   February 19, 2008 at 6:03pm
weight class had a former state champ and runner up place 3rd and past state placer who DNP. Divsion 2A was the toughest of the tournament.
reply
Reality   February 19, 2008 at 1:04pm
it is true that none of these wrestlers would have won or been competing for state titles out of florida
but this was by far the weakest weight class and division in the tournament

Hrgrg   February 18, 2008 at 8:04pm
