Jake Dieff, looks like you can take him down no problem! But it is so tough to even get in on him!

Jon Reader's a great freshman but unless he comes up with some kind of way to take Dieffenbach down he stands a very poor chance of ever beating him! And taking Jake down is easier said than done!!

Jon Reader is tougher than most and will make up for this lose when it counts. Reader is an awesome Kid that will tough it out> Jake D. congrat's best match of the night.

reader needs to make things happen from his feet rather than just pushing and looking for the stall call

It is clear Reader can't take Dieffenbach down and I think next time Dieffenbach will cut him from top instead of trying to ride because the only way Reader can beat Dieff is if he gets reversals. That is how he beat Dieffenbach the first time they wrestled at the UNO open in 2006 when Dieffenbach scored 4 takedowns and gave up a 5 point reversal. Reader went on to hold down Dieffenbach in overtime to win 9-8. Dieffenbach's strategy will have to keep it on the feet and cut Reader on top. Reader's strategy will be to keep it on the mat and push the pace on the feet. Whoever sticks to their strategy next time they wrestle will win, but I'm picking Dieffenbach

that was a good solid match...reader can definitely beat diffenbach an the match could have gone either way but Diff. pulled thru on that nice sweep at the end!! nationals an conferences will be interesting this year to see who makes it out this year an who gets upset cuz there are alot of talented wrestlers in stacked weight classes!!!

i think jake beats him every time and if reader would of stayed on top he would of been hit with stalling cause thats what he was doing on top he was just holding on for the ride

I don't see Reader losing to him again...

Reader is a freshman, will correct mistakes. Diffenbach is no doubt underrated and tough but inside tripping your opponents single leg to win a match was clearly a shot in the dark. It worked this time. If Reader stays on top he wins this match without a takedown. I guess we will see.

Dieffenbach and Reader have wrestled 3 times. Reader has yet to take him down. In those meeting Dieffenbach has 7 takedowns. How do you figure Reader will beat Dieffenbach?

Should've never cut him. Reader beats him at Nationals.
