The slam is legal as long as the wrestler in the red singlet went down with him! They both were great wrestlers and I think the red singlet won fair and square! The calls were as fair as they can be because if you watched closely the referee did the best he could . He was fired up the whole match and that is probably why he placed in this tournament.

Oh no! Unfortunate that the referee didn't make the correct calls. The starting position of the red singlet wrestler is illegal. (Rule 5-20, Article 4: "no part of the body touching the mat in front of the lead foot."). Also, red singlet wrestler on the offensive start did not place the palm of the hand on the back of the elbow - (repeatedly went to the front). Both of these missed calls were several and gave the red singlet wrestler advantages on the whistle. Credit to both wrestlers for good hard wrestling and to the referee for donating his time.

Good match, they are two tough kids. You can just tell, the kid in red was so fired up. And that was borderline but I'll just call it a hard finish.
