Honestly...TJ won w/ great defense. However, B. Snyder looked like the better wrestler...who happened to lose.

TJ's performance definitely did not demonstrate the 'IOWA' style...Snyder was quick, strong, & slick...but just did not capitalize when it counted.

T.J. has the best takedown defense I have ever seen at the collegiate level.

They made all of the right calls in this match. Neither guy took very many shots, but the right calls were made throughout.

if hes so great then why couldn't Snyder find a way to win that match and the next years match, and Williams won it twice, you don't need to insult TJ because i'd like to see any of you even hang with him.

His positioning is great? The guy got taken down three times and loses that match under today's out-of-bounds rulings. At least the ref didn't real off two or three penalty points against Snyder in the third which is pretty standard practice up there.

Yeah, he is one of the best wrestlers to never win...the next year he came back and lost by tie breaker in the finals.

No way does any Iowa fan admit TJ was stalling. They won't even admit Metcalf took a cheap shot at Caldwell and that's been viewed millions of times.

but his positioning is great

God, Williams is the worst to watch. Does he take one shot? Finals are at Iowa, whihc means the refs are not going to ding any Iowa wrestlers. Even the Iowa "red meat" faithful must admit that TJ Williams is about as exciting as paint drying. What a god-awful match

Williams should have been dinged for stalling. He took zero shots in 3 periods & 1 OT. That is the Iowa home team advantage. What a crock, this match has bothered me for years.

w about in overtime when he decided to go for the same move on-top off the whistle (cross hip break down), that he went for in the 2nd period and got reversed doing. I think it was just the inability to adapt to T.J.; if he would have adapted and gone to a different ride in overtime he could have possibly held him down and changed the outcome...

Is that the correct refereeing? No pts for all those out-of-bounds takedowns?

Yes, I agree, Snyder probably has finally and painfully gotten over this terrible loss UNTIL IT WAS POSTED FOR THE WORLD TO SEE AGAIN! Now 10 more years of sleepless nights, poor boob!

Man Snyder has to wake up in the middle of the night and wonder how he lost that match. Snyder had some great offense on the edge, but no points.
