Thank you Guru for posting a Kendall Cross match from the Olympics, I loved watching this kid never give up on positions, ever! Amazing to watch and I know Kendall had a burning desire to be number 1 and wondered sometimes why when people talk of the greats of the 90s they think of John Smith, Brands brothers, McIlravy, etc. but I have rarely heard Kendall Cross' name mentioned, wonder why.

IndyRR -The only other wrestlers I can think of who might have a better whizzer is Rob Koll and Dave Schultz. Great shots by Abe, hard to finish, Cross has rubber legs.

Great match. I love seeing Cross wrestle. Is that Zeke Jones by the scoreboard?

the great ones can do it, but I hate it when high school kids step over a whizzer. "Don't try this at home kids...only skilled professionals can perform this technique"

Has there ever been a wrestler who got more mileage out of a whizzer than Cross? He takes a funky, unorthodox position, and a defensive one at that, looks for ways to get into it, and then launches one attack after another out of it. It ain't necessarily pretty, but I love watching it.

it is unbelievable how he is so quick on that limp arm shuck by JPN that he ends up getting an underhook and leg in of his own.

Ok round 2 at the 1996 Olympic Games featuring Kendall Cross and Sanshiro Abe. Cross was the 1989 NCAA champ for Okie State and the 1992 Olympian. Abe was a 4x NCAA AA & National Champ at Penn State going 4,3,2,1.

Some really great action in this bout on the feet and in par terre. Abe has some real solid leg attacks. Cross is just too funky. Some really nice scrambles and nice offense from Cross as well.

Just a great match. This is what wrestling's all about.

Enjoy.
