Kim Yong Sik looked really good here.
Could I request for a future Guru match some Quintana Ribalta? He seemed very dominate around the time of his Olympic gold but there arn't many matches of him that I can find.

What is the final scoring? 3-2 Yong-Sik? It certainly is a wierdly officiated match.

Guru Double Dose featuring another bout with North Korean Kim Yong Sik.

This is a prelim bout against Soviet star Vladimir Toguzov at the 1987 Tbilisi. Both wrestlers were about the same age here, 20 or so. Toguzov is hands down one of the best wrestlers in the world to never win a world title.

Reason: Valentin Jordanov.

Anyway this is a great bout with a lot of action and counter wrestling. Some interesting officiating in favor of Toguzov as well. Toguzov is another left leg lead who had amazing flexibility, a fantasting fireman's, and probably the best ankle lace in the world (tie with John Smith IMO). At 43 Toguzov is still competing in the German Professional League.

You can see Yong Siks great leg attacks off of his stutter step in this bout as well as some funk as Toguzov tries to flee the mat.

Yong Sik wins this one, but it was very controversial based upon the officiating. I thought it was pretty clear however. The crowd is unbelievable BTW.

Enjoy.
