first off neither of these wrestlers looked like nationally ranked wrestlers in this match, possibly not even all state wrestlers. the only thing that was evident was how malvestuto could take down beckwith with ease. beckwith showed me nothing to believe that he is the best wrestler in new york from this match. Also why did malvestuto not choose bottom in the 3rd? score is 6-6, if you get out its 7-6 and beckwith was obviously not the aggressor and showed no potential to take down malvestuto from his feet. poor coaching and poor wrestling. i still believe malvestuto is the better wrestler.
Beckwith beat malvestuto again at New York State fresstyle finals. not a fluke. he has also beaten kids that Malvestuto lost to Andre Petroski the year before at NHSCA and Jesse Villela who won D1 states in New York. You are completly wrong in every statement you make...
Clearly this match was a fluke and angelo obviously shouldve won. but due to biased refereeing he lost. its a shame cuz the kid works so hard and is obviously 10x better than beck
I would say they are both very out of shape. Beckwith looked nothing like he did at the state tournament if he wrestled Malvestuto like he wrestled his there i think this would have been a much different match i doubt it would be any different.
CAN YOU LET THE KIDS WRESTLE THEIR OWN MATCH...dont you think a lil less directing from the coach could've made a difference...if that was me, I would've been said to shutup...some talking and coaching is good...but damn...
Well I think if you could have eliminated the Coach from commenting so much, that Malvestuto may have won because he would have been making his match work and not being distracted by his coaches comments. BUT, it was a good match up and Beckwith's seemingly quiet but sure footed persistence brought him the win. Good job....to both.
