Uh, it was a 7th grade team, and he wasn't playing up. His brother Stephen played on the 8th grade team. He was a 6th grader last year. That would make him a 7th grader this year, especially if he's an honor student. Funny how an "honor student" gets put back in the middle of the year. There's no hatin' here - just explaining. This is why many people are very skeptical abou the whole "home schooling" option.

Anyone who follows wrestling in the state knows Austin wrestled 12 and under in tulsa etc and was young for his grade,he also played football for an 8th grade team and has always played up an age or two and has always wrestled up as well,he was a grade school state champ last year at 110 and will be a 3x jr high placer and champ like his brother ,pretty good principal/Coach the kid is an academic all ohio wrestler as well as a state runner up ,Dont be hatin cause we was celebratin after stompin u

He played football for a junior high team, so I think he's a 7th grader. If he was a real 6th grader, he would have been GS State Champ @ 120. OAC wouldn't let him wrestle as a 6th grader since he started the year in a public 7th grade class and then he went "home school" and was "retrograded" to 6th by his home school principal (the guy in the corner).

how is norstrom not ahead of him in the rev rankings, this is jr. high states, nordstrom won high school states, i want to see these two wrestle at fargo or something

The 1 ranked jr high wrestler in the nation versus one of the best and highest ranked 12 and under wrestlers in the nation who both have brothers who won this tournament as well ,when these kids step foot into highschool wrestling it will be a rude awakening for a lot of people but it will not be either of these guys ,This was the best states ever and it was dominated by no less than 5 different pairs of brother combinations ,Awesome there will never be another state tournament in Ohio like this one.

Wow, they both suck. No way either of them would of placed at 120 last year. states was weak this year and its going to be a rude awakening when these kids step into highschool wrestling. Watching this match is a disgrace to people who love the sport.

Austin put every kid he wrestled in the tournament on his back and only gave up five points in the four matches leading up to the finals with BO,great job Austin you were awesome and there is NO ONE in the state who could have done any better let alone a sixth grader ,Bo is phenomenal there is a reason he is ranked #1 in the country and Austin showed he had the biggest heart in the state that weekend .....period.

Eighth grader and a sixth grader make a really big difference in terms of maturity. Its like a senior sopre thing. Bo is a stud i wonder what weight he will go though.

OK get this strait, Bo is a stud who almost nobody in jr high can beat.So when you say that that myers sucks you are saying everybody else in his bracket sucks to.and i doubt that anybody under 120 would stand a chance agianst Bo. so that means that when you say that myers sucks you are also saying everybody in 120 pounds and under sucks to.
i would like to see somebody in ohio put up a fight with Bo though.

wow...that Kid made it to the finals as a sixth grader......Im giving this Myers kid all the credit in the world........Bo jardan is an awesome wreslter who gets probably some of the best coaching and practice partners in the country.......no shame inlosing to him

Yep a hold back like so many others ,Austin did a wonderful job at tulsa this year where he was still in the 12 and under class and at the Ohio state tournaments against older jr high kids this year taking 1st at ourway then 2nd to an awesome kid like Bo who sets the bar for kids like Austin in Ohio and others across the country .

Lets get something straight. Austin is a stud. And a 13 yr. old 6th grader.

the Myers brothers are bad to the bone and no body in the country can beat Bo in the 15 and under class so how was a tulsa kickoff champ and placer in the 12 and under supposed to handle himself ,Exactly as Austin did taking out everyone else in the tournament despite being the youngest placer in the class SWEEEET Those boys are blessed with talent and heart god love em and god love those Jordan boys as well they are the ultimate wrestling family.Psalm thing wrong ,Psalm day soons boys will be embarrassing yours once again way too soon for you hahahahahahahaha
