This past weekend at the USA State Tournament (May 16, 2009) a wrestler informed me that someone had been posting comments on this website under my name. First of all, I would like to say that I may be a y wrestler out on the mat, but would never disrespect another wrestler or the sport in that way. I believe that anyone that has enough guts to walk out on the mat deserves respect. Obviously the person that wrote that disrespectful comment was just trying to get things stirred up and does not have enough guts to put their real name. Secondly, I am in the IB Program (International Baccalaureate) at South Pointe High School and I DO know how to spell and write complete sentences unlike the person who was pretending to be me

Who ever wrote this is rite and thank you for the complement i dont think i will be 4a most valuable. but i did have torn tendines and a torn lebram in my shoulder. With a torn muniscus in my right knee. Both injuries form the beginning of the season, and I torn my muniscus in my left knee in the state finals. Great match Thomas best all year.

i think he faked it cause he couldnt handle not being in the finals it seems like wrestling is everything to this kid and my son told me that no one would like him if he wasnt good at wrestling. ya your right wrestling and walkin are 2different things but he wasnt acting like his arm was bothering him which it would of if he tore ligaments

It's good to see dual meets like this. Having grown up and competed in Ohio (and now live and coach in Iowa) I've seen what it is like to have an entire community support wrestling. I feel that is what a dual like this will do for wrestling in the south. When there is state pride on the line, people care. Hopefully one day we will see wrestling programs re-established at SEC schools and other southern universities like they exist in the midwest. It will only help the sport for the south to continue to get stronger in wrestling. Great job to both squads.

I am not really sure what has been said, but Brandon you wrestled a great match. Team GA won and we here in SC see that the bar has been raised. We will continue to work hard and raise our skill level in hopes of competing better next year. Just because we lost doesn't mean that we have inferior wrestlers. The level of wrestling in the south has steadily improved over the past five years. Our goal is obviously to be able to compete with states like Ohio and Pennsylvania one day. The GA vs. SC match was a great idea, and I hope we can continue the exhibition in the future.

Yes they spelt my last name wrong when they posted the video. Also, everyone just needs to shut up on here bc it was a good match and a good kid. I won the match its over. GA won the dual match with the better team. We both could have had better kids out there, and we wouldn't know the outcome bc it didn't happen. My hat is off to GA they showed great wrestling ability and they did what they needed to do. So everyone just shut up about the whole thing it is over.

Excuses, excuses...the absolute antithesis of the sport of wrestling. Wrestling = winning and losing on your owns with no excuses. You should adopt that philosophy in SC wrestling. If you did, maybe your kids won't get waxed so bad next time.
You are right this was a nightmare for for SC. Somebody got skooled! Funny thing if GA brings their best its a shut out. Ponce is the 7th best 125 in GA behind Pifer, Bell, Allgood, Bushart, Warrington, and Devita. Woah, SC is soooo bad.
