Rico was only a sopre. Osorio was a senior and went undefeated. He now wrestles D1. Rico will be just as good when he is a senior.

Langley

What grade are you in and what school will you be attending in El Paso?

K-town   July 21 at 7:54pm
Good luck with Rico in El Paso. He's a beast! Wrestling in Germany isn't the same as wrestling in the states. Osorio, the state champion, will be wrestling in College. Maryland I think.

I just saw this guy down at the Maryland camp. He gave me a few good coaching tips. He is tough on his feet.

Anonymous Coward   June 19 at 11:13pm
yea rico seemed pretty good. has does have a mean cradle with those long arms. he pinned me with them lol

Suplay915   June 8 at 10:43pm
As a Freshman, Rico made it to the Semi-Finals of the Regional Tournament. He was wrestling eventual State Runner-up, Chris Contreras from Caprock, pretty tough before sustaining a freak finger injury that required surgery to fix.

He and the rest of the Texas Cadet National Team are sure to turn a few heads next week at the Cadet Nationals in Rochester, MN. Good luck to them!!!

Rico is beast, he's been wrestling since he was like 6 yrs old. And no he didnt go to state freshman year, he broke a couple of fingers. im eager to see how he does this coming season.

Anonymous Coward   May 9 at 10:10am
did rico make it to state his freshman year?

Sorry   March 31 at 11:43pm
Osorio's Puerto Rican...but you were close

ttelp   March 28 at 9:27pm
Damn: You must be an extraordinary wrestler to make that kind of comment. I guess the recruiters at University of Maryland didn't have a clue when they signed Osorio, right? I guess Rico pinning his ways to the finals as a soph was probably luck as well.....

Desperate Dumbass: Translation please?

Thanks to Flowrestling for their amazing coverage!!!

Osorio said Rico was one of the strongest kids he faced all season...Good luck...Your future is bright Rico!

Anonymous Coward   March 8 at 1:46pm
how long have rico and osorio been wrestling?

ttelp   March 8 at 12:09pm
Andy is a 15 year old "true-sopre"....unfortunely he ran into a grown-ass man / STUD in Osario. Bryan was was obviously much stronger and kept the pressure and tempo at a high level throughout the match. Andy is in very good shape, but just wasn't enough this time; however, he had a great season and tournament! Congrats to Bryan and Good Luck at Maryland!!

BobZmuda   March 8 at 11:53am
wtf? He's in the 10th grade. ;)

Alegre   March 5 at 8:51pm
What year is Rico?

BobZmuda   March 4 at 9:24pm
It's easy to gas in the 3rd period when you're used to pinning everyone in the 1st. That had been the case most of the year for Rico, including the first three rounds of the state tournament.

Anonymous Coward   March 4 at 6:09pm
what mayrland camp ? is it a good one ?

T   March 4 at 4:57pm
I am good on my feet. One of the best in OK and this kid made me look silly. He is cool too. Good luck dude.

Random Kid   March 3 at 7:30pm
I went to camp with Bryan, the maryland one in fact. He tore it up there, I wasn't suprised that he won the state championship. Great job man! And good luck at Maryland too

Tito   March 3 at 2:01pm
Yeah Osario makes a lot of kids gas in the third. He is so friggin strong. Good luck at Maryland dude.

Anonymous Coward   March 2 at 11:35pm
Bryan! Congrats bro! this was a freaking awesome way to cap off your senior year!

Wow   March 2 at 11:09pm
Rico is a good wrestler, but he was gassed the entire 3rd period.

135nj07   March 2 at 8:40pm
how could u gas in the finals??
really tough wrestler osorio

Ept915   March 2 at 9:26am
Great job by both wrestlers. The match was alot closer than the final score, I would have liked to have seen the ref let Andy sink in that cradle and getting some backs before calling a stalemate. Andy is one tough sopre that will be making a lot of noise at sopre nats and next year at state. We're proud of all of your accomplishments this year. Keep it up kid!

RH   March 2 at 9:18am
ACC, Maryland, gets another Texas stud! Spjut and Osario in ACC finals for years to come.

El Paso Wrestler   March 2 at 8:14am
Woah, I wasn't expecting that... I thought Rico would win this.
Good match though!
