Well yeh, if there's no action and it can't be a stall, it's a stalemate. A ref can't let two wrestlers just hang out, even in a back door position, just killing time and not working. There was no advanage either way, but both wrestlers could come up with two so they don't want the other one to score the two, so both were content to get a stalemate. Obviously it's better to continually work for points, it helps later down the road, but in a weird, funky position, that's smart wrestling.
