Definitley NOT a fall

didn't look like a pin to me. He was flat but not long enough. And the ref couldn't have seen it where he was. Hill's fall was pretty quick too, but closer. Unless the rules have changed. Looked like a freestyle call to me. But it was probably only a matter of time, anyway. Dolan looked like he probably weighed in in his winter coat with a cheeseburger in his hand.

This was a very close call. I watched it several times in slow motion and don't believe it was possible for a ref to count "one-thousand-one" while in position to see the shoulder-blades flat, as the rule book states. I think the call in Dorian's match was right, but this was a very quick fall. Dolan's shoulder-blades were flat for about half-a-second, not a whole second.

had to watch it like 20 times, but it was a legit call. between 1:10-1:11 Dolan's shoulders were flat on the mat and that's when the ref counted (in college a 1-count is a pin). it's questioned because the ref slapped the mat when Dolan's left shoulder was up.

It is questionable calling of the pins because there was even a worse call in the 184 LB Match. This is not Freestyle Mr. ref.
What are you talking about Hill was flat as a board

Apple Sauce   February 8 at 3:39pm
I wouldn't have called it, but the ref probably counted it out. Pinned for like half a second- I think the official got it right.

Man Dolan is flat out terrible this year. What the hell has happened to him since he's in high school

Yes, he was definitely pinned. Both shoulders on the match for several frames. The ref must of used his inner eye cuz that was awful quick to process visually. Actually a good call and yet another example of wrestling "pundits" questioning the only person in the gym tested, evaluated and paid to officiate.

no, he was pinned i keep rewatching it and i dont think the ref saw it, but he was pinned.

he looked pinned to me and yes that woulda been a pin in freestyle b/c I've been called for a touch pin that and I probabli wasnt on my back as long as that

Wow, I guess Im the only one that thought he was pinned. He was definately flat on both shoulders.

Jay   February 8 at 8:31am
I'm NOT sure if that was a fall in freestyle

Jay   February 8 at 8:30am
Really lousy call...I'm sure if that was a fall in freestyle. However, the MIZZOU kid seemed to be really overmatched.

I'm an OSU fan. That was a quick call. That being said, it's not that easy to be a D1 ref.
reply
ME   February 8 at 8:15am
That was pathetic. I think the ref was just as excited as tho OSU kid to smack the mat
reply
T Goat   February 8 at 3:08am
Very quick call. I mean, he probably WOULD HAVE pinned him, but that wasn't much more than a roll-thru.

Whodaheck   February 8 at 2:09am
that ref should be fired. end of discussion

Wrstlr   February 8 at 1:14am
that was def not a pin... that is really bad, how easy is it to be a ref in D1 college wrestling?
