All this talk about Bridgeford makes me laugh. Dake by decision in folkstyle, and Dake by tech in any other style.

hey jones did bridgeford go to Worlds? No. Who did? Dake. dumbass
reply
Jones   July 20, 2008 at 11:52am
Bridgeford would destroy Dake in folkstyle, probably pin him like he does nearly everyone else. Dake has bad positioning and gets too sloppy and is not near the technical wrestler that Bridgeford is. .
reply
Paul   July 2, 2008 at 8:24am
kind of hard to stall and tire a guy out. Dake clearly was more agressive.
reply
Rick   July 2, 2008 at 8:23am
Dake gassed him and the stalling call was a joke. EZ to see.

who were some of the ohio kids in this weight?

Nytarts   June 18, 2008 at 12:29pm
i love how you defend dake for stalling in the second period. its not about how hard he was workin the whole time. he had his wrist and was just burying his head in silvestris shoulder just sitting there with a headlever. its similar to if you were dominating on top.. but then the kid stands up and you just follow him around the mat. it doesnt matter what you did before thats stalling. you cant just sit there with a headlever doing nothing.

SO who do you think would win out of bridgeford and Dake??
reply
Jitter Bug   April 9, 2008 at 7:45am
new jersey kid is a stud. you people dont kno wht your tlking about.i give the new jersey kid so much props. first year silvestri has gone to states after recovering from mono and brunchitos he takes 2nd in n.j states, then comes through nationals and dominates ian paddock 11-5. silvestri has induced asthma and if he took a puff in the third period silvestri would of won by far.
reply
JC   April 2, 2008 at 12:04pm
the announcer has no clue who either of the guys are, and hes calling them by the other ones name during the last scramble
reply
Ian Paddock   April 2, 2008 at 6:56am
dake made the kid quit. he physically dominated him. the kid had zero energy to defend himself, or even care that he lost at the buzzer. he just wanted to get the hell away from Dake.

stalling on Dake? clueless

df hit it right on the head
reply
Df   April 1, 2008 at 4:48pm
The reason for him being so small is ny certifications it's like take any other top wrestling state and subtract 10 pounds from them to get a ny wrestler. He isn't even small for ny.

Gb   April 1, 2008 at 11:39am

Flossy   April 1, 2008 at 12:08am
wow, did dake really get a stalling call in the second?

dake really out worked silvestri in the 3rd though.
reply
Hjbh   March 31, 2008 at 8:51pm
thats good for dake! but i doubt silvestri weighed much more
reply
Stfd   March 31, 2008 at 8:42pm
I WOULD HAVE TO SAY DAKE IS VERY UNDERSIZED FOR THIS WEIGHT CLASS, AND IF HE FILLS OUT HE WILL BE VERY DOMINATE, HE HAS THE ABILITY TO BE GREAT AND I DONT' WANT TO GET AHEAD OF MYSELF, BUT DAKE NEXT YEAR COULD BE VERY CLOSE TO THE SAME ABILITY AS J.O.
reply
Wolverchuck   March 31, 2008 at 7:11pm
Watching this match up close Dake is just amazing giving up at least 10lbs in the finals. After the match he only weighed 136.8 dressed in jeans shirt and shoes. The lord is right! The takedown should have been called much earlier. Great kid and a good person,he found a wallet on the mat that afternoon with over two hundred dollars in it and went straight to the head table and turned it in. I was told it belonged to the head coach at Oregon.
reply
Jeff Nolan   March 30, 2008 at 6:45pm
Dake stalling in the 2nd is bogus. The NJ athlete wore the mat for 2 minutes with his head down and attempted to stand up one time.

The last takedown was a takedown for at least 4 seconds before he called it.

Jg   March 30, 2008 at 12:28pm
you've also probably never seen him ridden like dake did in this match. he exhausted himself early trying to escape
reply
Risk   March 30, 2008 at 8:29am
i've seen kodie wrestle for 4 years and he's never been gased he didnt look himself here give him another day and another year and he's state champ and national champ
reply
Joshh   March 29, 2008 at 9:33pm
hes real good and he redeemed him self after he was the beneficiary of a terrible call in the quarters in my opinion though the difference between the top 6 wrestlers in this tournament is so small that on any given day the order could be reversed
reply
Rick_x   March 29, 2008 at 3:39pm
Good match. Hats off to both wrestlers. Sorry I counldn't be there to see it. Good job Kyle your family is proud.

close at the end....but Dake was the agrressor and NJ kid bales alittlebit. I mean it is called a "takedown"..sometimes I do not know what these refs are looking for....Dake fights to a single then a double then hooks the leg then raises the leg....
reply
Dckundr--------^   March 29, 2008 at 7:25am
word to the rest of country Dake is good. Gets handled by Paddock at NYS Finals and then beats the kid that handled Paddock. Soph and Junior national champ....wow. See NYS Vids at : www:youtube.com/dckundr

Tami Silvestri   March 29, 2008 at 7:07am
Kudos to Dake.. but where was the paralle call and def likes to stall.. Questionable call when ref awarded 2 at the buzzer seems like they weren't sure and let the other side call it.. On other hand Silvestri as i've seen him before didn't look himslef.. Great job to both
reply
Looking....   March 29, 2008 at 6:40am
