Roger McCovey has grown a lot, he went from 189 as a freshman, to a 215 as a sophmore, to a state champion heavyweight. He will be a very dominate senior next year.
Way to Go! Congratulations on your victory in the Virgina tourney. I just read about you in the triplicate and am watching your video. You make our Indian People Proud!

Man even when he taps n fakes his shots (most of the time) still suck, but of course the heavyweights are too slow to react to that and capitalize. Totally different. Then he shoots a low single lol...It is so easy to be a good heavyweight...
agreed. he wrestles like this really bad kid i wrestled back in 7th grade who would swing his arms forward and stamp his foot in some random attempt to fake. if mccovey could cut that out he would look so much like a jv 119 lber. But still, he dominates at heavyweight and at least he is exciting to watch compared to all the other heavyweights. It really is a different sport, though. More of them need to be active like McCovey...
It's great for a North Coast sports writer to be able to watch a video of a Humboldt-Del Norte athlete %u2014 and the California state champ %u2014 in action. And Bronc, a humble kid who is an incredible wrestler, well, he's getting it done back on the East Coast. Way to go, Roger!
How exciting!!! Even Warrior alums are rooting for your Bronc!!! Way to go! Great to see someone from little old Del Norte County represent California!!!
4x World and 2x Olympic Champion John Smith takes on 1985 World Silver Medalist Avirmedin Enkhe of Mongolia during a heated preliminary bout at the 1988…
