Tui, you are not from Iowa are you? because if you were you would know Bauers background. I have known him and his family for quite some time now. Class act he helps younger wrestlers. At most tournaments he is always helping someone as is his parents. His mother ran tekfall for years and now is running real rivals. Since I have know the Bauers Dakota has always be a lean kid, I asked him once if he lifted he replied yes and he loved it. I asked his father once what weight he would be going and he said you have to ask Dakota, he makes his decisions on his weight. So unless you know this kid personally (if you did you would not trash talk) don't bash him or others. All these kids train hard and deserve to be where they are. ALL of them
Really who cares what anyone weights? They all have to make weight. If his mom says he looked smaller who cares everyone has an opinion. I know as a father that others tell me my boy has grown and is big I don't see this myself, but then again I see him everyday. Myself being a huge wrestling fan I have seen many wrestlers put on weight then since their respective state tournaments a few being Cater, Bauer, Short and many others. They are young and growing all the time. The Clash is a great event many tough matches and wrestlers. Thank you Flo for all the work you do on this website.
Dont know about now but was there at state "Go Trojans" I watched 2 of Bauers matches and he was smaller then what he was wrestling. My son wrestled him a few years ago and he has always been lean but muscular looking. As far as his mommy in Iowa she has been involved with the youth wrestling for years, dont understand how anyone can get on here and slam her.
Bauer's Mommy tells people he was a small 112 this year because she thinks everyone is that dumb to believe that! He's always sucked a ton of weight to win.
On the other hand Carter's Daddy says on themat he was only 118 to start the season and he thinks everyone is that dumb too.
Get a life parents, other wrestling parents know how much these guys cut.
If he wins it 4 times it's because he sucks more weight than anyone else. He was huge. He's wrestling now in his mid 130's and still looks sucked down. Don't know how they got another 20 pounds off that body!
Yes he lost to an 8th grader. He himself is only a freshman and did this well with a junior. His future looks very bright. To say he would be hard pressed to place high at the other events may be true, but after watching I believe he can beat any of them. If I remember right he went 9-7 with Grey, beat Squire amongst other big wins. This kid will be huge in the future.
Carter has either won or been in the finals of both the Ironman and Beast the last two years. Bauer would be hard pressed to place at either at this point in his career. He lost to an eigth grader at this tournament. Carter gets his best shot from everyone and this was Bauer's best. Carter wrestled a smart match and was not even close to losing this one.
Bauer wrestled his best match of the weekend this match and Carter wrestled his worst and still won. If you watched both all weekend you would have seen Carter is on a different level than Bauer and most in the nation at this weight.
That being said it looks like Bauer will be a stud at some point.
I heard he was not ready for the Short match, and he was for Carter. Come on now do you think if he was ready someone like Short would beat him. Short is good but I think Bauer and Carter are above his league.
Watched this 4 times. Looks like Bauer was making all the shots. Carters spiral is nice he is a good staller. Bauer is the better wrestler here. Cuts him twice. Im surprised Bauer is not ranked Nationally, I believe this kid could beat any of the top guys. This kid is relentless
maybe bauer should have tooken it more seriously because short obiviously isn't out of his league if he can beat him
