Wake Up   June 1, 2008 at 4:55am
Hey "we need better refs", How can a fan or even a coach see the situation better than a ref who is 7 inches from the contact surfaces of wrestler and mat? As a ref, that is the most irritating aspect of a generally thankless job. If you see daylight in the middle of the back, can't both shoulders or scapula be in contact with the mat for at least 2 seconds? If so that defines a pin. When will fans, wrestlers and coaches stop blaming the refs for whatever goes wrong? It's getting old.

Great Call   April 27, 2008 at 7:53pm
after avd pushes tarsas head with his knee.. that flattens him out. looked like tarsa was in pain anyway, - and could see he was glad it was over with.

Van Dyk Wrecked Him   April 12, 2008 at 4:26pm
Officially. tarsa no match at all for a strong in shape avd at 145. first time they wrestled in Dec. avd had been at 135 just a week earlier and had not recovered from cutting at the beast. Although avd still a small 45, he turneed him in about a minute and tarsa was flat long before ref called it.

how can the ref call a pin when you can see daylight. Obviously I am being rhetorical - b/c it wasn't even close. I am from the Jersey Shore- so calling me a "High Point" fan won't sufffice. I actually know the ref and he is usually spot on - but I feel bad for Tarsa. Coach Gardner is ALWAYS a class act - so for him to argue the call means a second look is warranted. I favored AD in the match - but good luck to all participants.
