i think both calls were legitimate he was just riding the hold time you have to show that you are doing something he was not going for a tilt or a pin he was just riding i think good call by the ref

Walker has an oddly shaped head. . .

The first stall was legitimate. The second stall was questionable. Throwing the headgear should be an automatic penalty. I tell my kids you can abuse your headgear all you want, but do it off the mat and out of the building.

This is HS wrestling, not college.
You can't just wrist ride for 3 periods, you have to attempt to turn the guy. Refs did a good job in the stalling calls.
Brooks is a hothead also and should have been penalized for throwing his headgear too.

i think bad calls by the ref. the guy in blue should get some credit for being able to control and stop the bottom guy who wasn't good enough to escape from bottom. instead he's not given credit (in college he'll get extra point for that great riding), he's actually penalized and the red guy gets points for not being able to escape. maybe blue should of changed to a different hold. Don't just do the same wrist hold for sooo long. however, red could just not even try to break wrist control knowing he'll get rewarded for it. just sucks to see refs decide a match
