Metcalf didnt do anything wrong. Being mean is part of the sport. And i dont like how people question his technique he would kick everyone of your asses. He's a great athlete with a lot of heart and preparation. This season I bet u see a new improved brent metcalf

time was up when metcalf pushed caldwell when we was running when time was still on the clock you could just say he was stalling still wrestling and this announcer sucks even after caldwell destroys metcalf and he is celebrating his NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP he says now he needs to walk off lets win right too just shut up and let him have his moment

In the big ten finals didn't metcalf shove his forearm in the back of schlatters head for the last 5 seconds of the match. now that is a dirtbag move. total classless. was he wrestling for those last five seconds? was he proving a point? was he showing his opponent sportsmanship? i don't think so. I think he was celebrating a little to early. to all of you ppl on here saying caldwell is being classless, metcalf is just as classless or even worst than caldwell. Caldwell celebrated early but Metcalf couldn't hold his cool and did something a 5 year old would do. What a poor sport... everyone makes a big deal when DC celebrates early but not Metcalf. Man ppl, stop swinging on his nutts! get a life and stop worshiping other ppls lives.

their was no class and no need to celebrate with time remaining. the push just reminded calwell of that. completely classless throwing a cheap headlock and putting his fingers in his mouth(3:06) who does that

Forget about that end of the match stuff. That was an emotional moment and nothing more. I expected Metcalf to win, but couldn't help but to start cheering for Caldwell after he threw that head lock and scored. Caldwell won that match by going after Metcalf and refusing to be intimidated by his record.

For us old timers, this match is reminiscent of another NCAA final 39 years ago - Gable vs Owings. Owings went after Gable right from the start. I think Gable had gotten used to his opponents giving up early, but Owings refused to roll over. Gable sure learned his lesson. He beat Owings 7-0 in the 1972 Olympic trials and didn't give up a single point at Munich.
SO TRUE. I just hope that Metcalf and Caldwell meet later on and Metcalf comes out the victor. Just my opinion. Please repect that.

Caldwell showed little class with his celebration. Metcalf showed he has no character with his actions AFTER 0:00 on clock. Don't say anyhing about time remaining on the clock. He knew the match was over and pushed Caldwell while he was in a defenseless position. What would you IDIOTS who defend metcalfs actions say if caldwell had been seriously injured? If caldwell wants to be a gymnast he can switch sports and if Metcalf wants to be a real man he needs to grow up and stop the childish temper tantrums.
I completely agree with that.

DOMINATION !!! the only word to describe what Caldwell did to the " so called " # 1 wrestler in the NCAA's .. Caldwell has done NJ proud again .. along with Jordan Burroughs ! Calwell, Burroughs, Valenti, Dubuque, Mocco, Pritzloff to name a few other NJ National Champs in recent years ... Scott Winston from Rutgers and current 2 x NJ State Champ Andrew Camp will be there too !

Great win, but back flip was BS. Win with some class. Lose with some class to BM. All of that aside it was a very good victory.

Not sure what match you watched Ihatestalling because the one I watched was one where metcalf was taken down repeatedly in the first, then when metcalf finally attempted a take down of his own he was stopped and then taken down. Complete DOMINATION from Caldwell. Then at the end we got to see Meltcalfs true colors. Caldwell is exactly the type of wrestler that young wrestlers should aspire to be like. O yea and the celebration Caldwell did was great. That is what this sport needs, no one wants to see someone win a National Title and show no emotion. We want to see some celebration!!! AWESOME MATCH!!!!
