Terrible response. You are obviously a homer Jersey fan who hasn't gone far beyond your small comprehension of what the wrestling world involves. I bet you LOVE Blair Academy and rant and rave about their awesome accolades across every message board on the internet. Am I right? I can imagine Grajales beating any kid that Jersey could manage to produce for him to compete against. I hope that answers your question. He has done it. He is a national champion. Are you that ignorant or are you just trying to cause a stir? Either way, you lost on this thread.
The fact of the matter is the average state champ has no chance against a season college wrestler, I would say at any level that is good enough to be an AA.... that being said Eric has already beat Senior level athletes... and I presume will be an AA his first year at Michigan State...
The kid has been a national champ several times at all levels. He placed at Greco Nationals (real Nationals, not Fargo) and was one of only a few high schoolers to be invited to the Olympic Trials.
He's going to Michigan on a full ride. Word is he had many full ride offers to major wrestling programs. How many kids from your school, district or state can say the same?
He sounds like he's a highly accomplished high school wrestler to me!
Do you naysayers actually think that all of the college coaches who were after him viewed him as "unproven" or someone who possessed great potential to excel at the D-1 level?
By the way, it's a stretch to put Minnesota high school wrestling in the same sentence as Pennsylvania. If you think the two states are even close in depth on the high school level you've been inhaling too much snowmobile exhaust up there in Minnesooooooota!
He is wrestling a ranked wrestler of WI in this video.
THe takedowns appear sloppy because he is using the minimium contact to execute. I have wrestled a wrestler similar to his style and they are hard to stop, just as the Stoughton wrestler in this video is having a hard time. The Stoughton kid is a good wrestler. (not that I give a crap about stoughton) LOL
I will be sure to forward your comments along to the UM coaching staff as well as the Olympic Greco Staff. I am sure a yo-yo like you could provide some terrific insight into one of the best young wrestlers today. Go back to whatever you were doing after your stellar jr high wrestling career ended.
i do not think that if eric wrestles anything like he is this year in college he will not do anything. always putting himself in ty positions
He has won Fargo Multiple time
If you post he is horrible then you have no idea!
He has beaten Alton at 140 this year. He plays with people like a cat!
I am sure Nate and him will meet up in College and he definately trains! You are just a midwest Homer
Horrible conditioning and poor fundamentals? Tell that to jordan oliver and andrew alton. Eric suffers from extreme boredom. if the kid he is wrestling is not on his level, he just tries to have fun.
