74 kg 1988 Olympic champion Kenny Monday takes on 68 kg 2X Olympic and 6X World champion Arsen Fadzaev of the Soviet Union in their 74 kg final match at the 1989 World Championships in Martigny.

In High School he was a phenom and went undefeated (from grades 7-12). He decided to go to Oklahoma State for college where he was coached by Tommy Chesbrow. By his senior year he was a national champion but always knew his ultimate goal was a gold medal. He had to go through one of the most legendary wrestlers just to make the Olympic Team, Dave Schultz. He did so and became the 1988 Gold Medalist.
