If you really want to see if the Point system is at all accurate, or just for fun, just show up at Nationals march 13-14-15... I'll bet it is closer than you think

The point system is great. It promotes coaches and wrestlers to keep their records current and it provides a means to draw parents, students and wrestlers to the site to see changes each week. If you want an accurate ranking system, go to Nationals.

The Point System is not accurate for all the reasons below, but it sure creates interest, and like Eric said ... we'll really find out at Nationals.

And the point system promotes competition which is the best thing for the league. Anyways, it gets worked out at Nationals.

Yeah, the points system is very inaccurate. Some teams don't compete as often and some teams mainly wrestle NCAA teams which makes it harder to earn points. Also, the coaches poll is inaccurate because student coaches will just vote for their team to be ranked first even though their team should probably not even be ranked. It would be better if there was just a ranking committee comprised of respectable coaches.

I met Jim Giunta in Dallas last year. He does a great job with the tourney and he dedicates so much of his time to bettering the sport. He is incredibly dedicated and sets and example that hopefully many will follow.

I think this point system is retarded because kids that are number one have lost to kids that are below them many times
