To facts: We get it ...you would not send your kid to Izzy. You as a parent make that choice...but get off the parents that choice to send their kids to Izzy. That's their right. What gives you the right to know what Izzy's motive is with the Ramos brothers or that he is using Deb for free trips. You dont know that and it's Deb's business anyway not yours.

I do not send my son to Izzy but his teammates do go there.My son choose a different route which has nothing to do with Izzy or his past. It has to do with my son and what he wants just like the guys that go to Izzy, they go there because they like what he has to offer. People will do what they want and make their own choice and will find out for themselves what Izzy is all about.It doesnt concern you.That's what America is all about the freedom to choose. So dont get yourself all in knots because some wrestlers benefit from Izzy, its their choice and they made it.

As parents we have to make decisions for our son's. The facts are the facts. I dont like how everyone is trying to make it sound as though he has changed.He has as stated in several comments below not changed. And it's great to get the input from others. Let's be honest Deb he uses you for the free trips, and anything he can get from you and your family.If he makes fun or talks bad about other parents in his own club than dont you think he is doing that behind your back too?

Izzy has to live with his decisions not anyone else so if you chose not to like him that is something you will have to live with no him for every hater there is an admirer

Former coach of my son. Was never around to coach him. He was either too hung over from the night before or just didn't care. Dont waste any money on this guy. He is a joke. I wanted a better role model for my son. Someone who has a college degree and actually wrestled in college instead of getting into bar fights like this loser.

This guy had a wrestler from another state at super 32 wear a montini singlet against one of thatis former wrestlers. He is a very vandictive person. What type of man tries to

The past. Please he was a grown man when they put him behind bars.He was a felon on the run. I think it was for a bar fight out in Iowa.He severed time not that long ago.He has not changed. He is very vindictive.Dont cross him.He needs to get a job. Like the rest of us.And remember he is not a four timer and you can not spectulate that he would have been. Anything can happen at state.

again, i don't know this guy either but you need to realize that people change and what he did in the past shouldn't necessarily be held against him now.

You guys need to grow up and stop living in the past. I am pretty sure everyone has done something wrong in thier life. It might have not been as bad but he has learned and is now giving back to the sport that gave to him. He is an excellant coach and the results of all his wrestlers show it 4 aa IL state champs and 5 finalist.

Izzy is a cool dude, and there is a brilliance behind his act that he puts up. Cheating? get real. When someone is doing great things people flock. Whether that is Jeff Jordan in Ohio, JEff Buxton in NJ or in this case Izzy Martinez in IL. Its as simple as that and you have every average coach and team in America calling foul because they cant produce results.

You should quit defending a man who can fight his own fight. How many times has Izzy burned people with his cheating? I know for a fact he has not burned any hotdogs because that would be blasphemous.

people make mistakes and they learn from them and move on....now it's time for you to move on.

Why do people idolize a man who was booted from his H.S. team when he was going to be a 4 timer? That is not a man kids should look up to for want to wrestle for.

How has the IHSA not investigated Montini regarding their influx of transfers? I heard a rumor that Joe Williams has a year of H.S. elligibility left and Izzy coaxed him back. In addition, Izzy is claiming his missed senior year. Although he will have to wrestle superheavyweight.

In fact, Izzy does such a great job coaching in Illinois that they won't let him coach Team Illinois at Fargo. Now that is class you can't buy.

Weight Watchers is looking for a new spokesperson. Mike Golic is not cutting the mustard.
