Exactly. Walsh now, "look(s) for kids that are good student athletes and have Christian morals"

Wrestlers like the Marchette brothers would not be accepted, nowadays.

You apparently are one of the kids who embodies all of the things that the admissions office wants! Congrats on a state and national championship this year!

Walsh is an extreamly tough school to get into these days. When Bill and the warrios won their national championships in the 90's it was a lot easier to get wrestlers in and have them survive academically. Wrestlers that come through North Akron in youth and junior high that want to go to Walsh, dont get in. People in Walsh's admission office do not accept kids that are just good wrestlers. They look for kids that are good student, atheletes and have Christian morals. Bill does everything he can to get kids in and he's a great coach, but sometimes things just don't work out his way.

Anyone can do what he does? Not many have. Ohio wrestling would not be where it is today if it was not for the emphasis on youth wrestling that Bill developed in the North Akron wrestling club over the eighties, nineties, and to this day. He has had an enormous impact that goes far beyond what he has done at his own school. The youth system he developed along with a few other dedicated individuals has greatly benefited public school teams as well as private in NE Ohio. He talks about getting kids into Walsh because the kids respect him as a person and he knows what the school can offer them in the future.

What college does this guy coach for? All he talks about is the guys he has coming in. Talking about admissions etc. I would like to see what he could do at a public school. Anyone can do what he does, trust me its not the coaching.
