College wrestling gives a riding time point, officiating is different, more value is placed on riding and holding an opponent down. In Ohio the officials literally appraise no value on the skill of holding someone down, they force Ohio kids to go take downs or they will call them for stalling after 15 seconds on top. Also college wrestlers are stronger and contest every movement and attack with a downblock, sprawl, or just meet you with their hips. I guess to someone who has never wrestled in college you would not get this unless you experienced it. Although one year in the Iowa dual at Ohio State I did see Colt score 11 takedowns I believe for a 22-11 win. Apparently some people just don't watch all the wrestling that is offered.
