Coby Boyd St Paris Graham vs Jesse Dong Westerville North : Speakers & Interviews

After watching this match, i am in shock that Boyd lost. Dong showed little moments during the match where he looked like a very good wrestler, but for the majority of the match, Boyd controlled the pace and Dong. The potentially dagerous call in the first was pivotal, Dong would potentially have been pinned, or at least, Boyd racks up some valuable back points.

Does anyone else notice how Boyd seems to jump into tie ups? Also how he gets an underhook, then tries a throwbye, when opponent reacts by moving out front and down he quickly tries to cover the head and hit his famed cow catcher? Got to Love Flow for the scouting value alone!!!

That's my point. Boyd looked like the better wrestler and a lot more aggressive! It appeared that Dong gained confidence as the match went on. The Cols. kids coming to St. Ed. can be very intimidating... Coaching appeared to be the equalizer!

Boyd looked way more aggressive and better to me. Dong stayed tough on defense. Different result if they meet again.

You can clearly tell that Jesse is well coached. Not sure who that coach is but he looks like a guy that destroyed me in high school in the late 80's. Ferocious!

take away that cow catcher and there is not much offense. maybe coby can catch up with jesse in the practice room and get his revenge with one of those practice room beatdowns. problem is those beat downs do not count in most peoples eyes!

Dong won this match in the first by escaping with 12 seconds to go! Coby couldn't ride him and Dong rode him out! Go Columbus wrestling

I'll say this instead...You take away the offense we see the most! You CANNOT be in Graham's room and not have an arsenal - a bevy, even - of offense.

But you knew that didn't you!?! ;)

What I noticed was the refs keeping an eye on Boyds choke hold, take that away and you have taken away 1/2 his offence.

I'm not sold on the fact that DONG-er over Boyd is an upset...

The point at the end of the 1st period (12secs remaining) proved to be costly for Boyd.
