lots of haters here, that's too bad.

Every workout has holes and flaws in it, no matter how "good" it is.
The kid is ranked 1st in the country, was repping on the bench with 160 (weighing maybe 120 lbs?) - looks like his training is helping him quite well.
show some respect.

Look at all the haters that wish they were half as good as DT. This is a really good workout for wrestling. Body weight exercises are in my opinion the best for wrestling, and extremely difficult. Phil go take some roids and do some curls and get off the wrestling site guy.

Gotta be honest. Thats not a tough workout. Check youtube for Frank Molinaro's leg killer. THAT is a workout. My bro will be at the Super32 and goes MUCH harder and heavier than that....the deadlift that kid was doing was elevated 2 plates from the floor with elevated handles...thats like a 185 deadlift TOPS....

Tommy Gun   October 28, 2008 at 10:10am
That was a pretty good work out. The fact that they do a lot of warming up and light weight work makes it very effective, and it can be a little longer because of this.
You can see the desire in the facial expressions of Taylor. You cant fake that look he gets when things get hard, and he is pushing through them. A lot of kids couldnt do that. It is easy to see why he is successful.
PS - Kind of an awkward hug at the end of that......

Also, no disrespect to Dustin intended as I love the kid. But Dustin wasn't on the map as far as a good wrestler until after he worked with Scott.
David Taylor is David and we all know this. Scott is just helping him get stronger and ready for college.

There both awesome kids and awesome people. Scott is right there with them.

To truth

I am appalled by your post. To say that he lives through certain famous wrestlers is ridiculous. Anyone that knows Scott, knows that he is one of the most genuine passionate person you could ever meet.
Scott and I became friends about 15 years ago after first being enemies on the football field. We have had our differences on certain subjects, but I will tell you that I value him as a person as much if not more than most of the christian people I associate with.
Why come on here and tear down someone who tries to help the sport. Also, you don't see Scott going around bragging on what he does or his success, everyone else brags on him.
You say Holtman and Harger are the only ones that have accomplished something by working with him. Not true by any means. Will mention real quick that Eric Cameron is the only Cincinnati wrestler to win the Ironman title and Tommy Weinkam is a two time high state placer and both go to Division I schools for wrestling.
Scott is awesome and unbelievable as a trainer, but is even above that as a person!

I've known Scott for a little over 5 years. From the first day I met him I knew he had something special. Yea he has a great training program, it works for 80lb athletes, 300lb athletes. Can be modified for any age, 10 years old to 80 years old. The one thing that makes it all work is his PASSION! Without that the rest doesn't matter. He puts ALL his athletes above all else! Freshman, JV, Varsity all get the same level of PASSION from Scott. In one weekend we went to Madeira In Cincinnati up to Troy, back to Madeira for the finals, then to the State Duals the next day. He makes it out to watch EVERY wrestler he trains! To say that the JV kids he trains have accomplished nothing is false. They have gained a confidence that only comes from working with Scott and they will keep that for life. The elite level athletes seek Scott out, don't knock him for welcoming them with open arms.

although i believe scoot is a very good and effective trainer to work with, i believe he trys to put his success soley on the "famous" kids. David Taylor, and Dustin Carter. those are his two most famous, but there are many kids who have been workin with him, (for as long as he has been around) who have accomplished nothing but decent jv records. i could name a list of moeller kids. Matt Holtman and Pierce Harger are the only ones from moeller that have been working with hima nd have actually accomplished something. I dont disslike him, i just believe he live through certain "famous" wrestlers.
