I've seen you post on all these technique tuesday videos and you are a straight clown. you clearly dont know about wrestling. coops a 3x all american. this is his first year as an assistant at RU hes been there for 3 months. obviously they arent a top ten team yet. He doesnt even have one recruiting class under his belt yet. stop commenting on videos and get to a wrestling club. just start drilling takedowns and dont stop til i say so.

Timson thank you. these people are dumb as hell how u gonna put down coop? and he clearly said that his double from his knees is not nearly as explosive as Jordan Leen's is. If you people dont believe it hit the mat not the keyboard..

He never said it was perfect technique. He's giving a person another option in a match. Watch a match with Burroughs from Nebraska, and see were he hits his double from. A lot of times it's from his knees on a re-shot. Cooperman didn't say this was for everybody. He said you have to be quick and explosive. You can catch guys coming in when your on your knees. Great technique!

this "on your knees, blast double" is a low percentage shot... especially against a good kid, besides i dont know anyone who likes to run on their knees...but that first ankle snatch works lovely..

Why isn't rutgers so good yet, Coop has been there what 2 months tops? You're a clown...let's see, can you post what you have acoomplished vs Coops accomplishments, if you accomplished in your carreer what he did in his worst season then ill listen to your every word...this should be great, very much looking forward to it. Get the point, you post on everyones technique bad mouthing people, no one cares about your opinion, you sit on a computer bad mouthing people when you could have worked hard and accomplished something and you would be on here...right? what am i missing

Coop is a crybaby who teaches bad technique. "Crawl and shoot double on knees" - are you kidding - he'd be pancaked in a second. This guy is a annoying biatch - all you ned to do is watch his episode of MADE where he makes a family outing all about him. Jersey wrestlers are tough - North Jersey are whiny skirts, just like Coop. Has anyone seen the Russians crawling on their knees for a takedown - NO. This guy is a conceited jerk - do not give this guy too much props - there are others more deserving.
yeah i don't see why people are giving him so much credit. if cooperman is so good, why isn't rutgers a top 10 team?

This is the reason when I teach the elbow off series, I teach my wrestlers to drive the opponent's deep across holding the elbow until you have secured his leg with your free arm. By holding that elbow until you have secured your opponent's leg which you targeted, you have negated your opponent's counterattack as his own arm is blocking his way. This is the way the Brands have performed thir elbow off series back in their days. They probably saw me do it.

Yes, we learn by repetition and anyone who watches this will definitely learn to differentiate between the several ways to follow up on a collar tie. Coops, you are really clear about your steps and my wrestlers are going to watch this several times interspersed with practice. Thanks for the detail and repetition.

Coach Cory CKWC   May 19 at 2:07pm
wow, i normally coach to get opponents off the head, but some of my guys really like to collar ties. I just didn't think there was that much offense from it. But have going to an Ivan Ivanov clinic about head throws, and now this cory cooperman 3 part series I'm going to incorporate the collar tie a bit more.

I tend to play to the strengths of my wrestlers rather than make them wrestle like me.
