Metcalf is 100% aggresive non-stop attack wrestling. He figures out his opponent within the first few seconds and either goes for takedown points or to just get the fall. Either way he doesn't let the other guy control the match. I don't see anybody in his way for ncaa title again.

luke silver is a tough as nails wrestler who has worked hard since his highschool days at bishop lynch thats why he wrestles for oklahoma state but bret metcalf didnt let up for 1 second of that match because him and the iowa hawkeyes are the hardest working team in the NCAA and when you go in to a match knowing you outworked your opponent you dersreve to win and thats what metcalf does

Silver was grabbing the back of Metcalf's headgear. Metcalf tried to snap the hand off the back of his head pretty hard and Silver wouldn't let go of it. I would have done the same thing if a kid was going to try to do that to me.

I wouldn't say Silver is deliberately stalling; rather, I say Metcalf is just that dominating and aggressive. There at the end Metcalf is even trying to convince the ref to get the match going. Just about everyone that wrestles Metcalf looks like this. He is a machine.

It is nice to see Metcalf working for a pin. I have seen Metcalf trying to turn someone while simultaneously trapping a leg preventing the turn. It seems he is working on releasing the legs to allow the turn. This can only help him in the long run. Also if he wants to take that next step to an Olympic medal I think turning skills are going to be critical.

Domination! Metcalf is the only guy in the country consistently dominating his opponents. Every young wrestler should strive to wrestle like this.

Would be nice if referees would hit the guy for stalling for all of the non-wrestling in between the whistle tactics that are pulled - slow walks, bouncing up and down, shaking the legs out in the down position, yada -yada- yada;

Nice to see a person like Metcalf...constantly looking to score, fully confident of his conditioning.
