A High School that wrestles in the famous Chicago Catholic League. Sean was a state champion and went on to wrestle at University of Michigan. At the University of Michigan he became a 2x All American and an NCAA Finalist. His last collegiate match he wrestled Pat Smith, 1 of only 2 4x NCAA Champions, in the finals. He lost in a tight match. After College he began training for the Olympics, however is biggest successes in the sport of wrestling would be what he did off the mat. Sean Bormet in 2000 began a club called Team Overtime. The club was modeled off of Ernie Monacco's "The Edge" in New Jersey. Team Overtime has since become the premier wrestling club in the nation. In 2007 USA Freestyle Championships Team Overtime lead Illinois to the overall team title in the nation. Year in and year out they have a waiting list to join their club. With a 94% renewal rate from their members it is not easy to get a spot at Team Overtime. |
