more action than at the Athens Games, where he went 1-1 and didn't
advance out of his pool. He says having been to one Olympics will help
him the second time around. Vering will enter Beijing a medal
contender after winning silver at the 2007 World Championships, where
the U.S. won the team world title, its first ever in any discipline.
It was the first Worlds medal for Vering.
