One of my FAVORITE collegiate dual meet matches of all time was when Ed Banach faced off against Mike Mann on the Cyclone home turf, 2 highly ranked wrestlers at that time. A 7 minute brawl and scoring frenzy from two MASSIVE athletes with some spectactular techniques, great memories! WHAT A MATCH!

Read Lou Banach's Book....he talks about cutting weigh to 190. Wrestled Unlimited at about 210 lb when some of the dudes where 400 lb.....and Lou pinned them. Lou Went like 1-3-1 at NCAA's.

Love the old story when wrestling seemed rough and tough. No slight to todays wrestlers they are outstanding. But, you don't have the charachters, stories etc of the old days. If it happened now I bet someone somewhere would get sued.

I'm sure as twin brothers they mixed it up quite a bit. Twins are always tough because they have built in competition from birth.
