One reason CMU has been so successful is that they have been winning the inter-state recruiting battle. Wrestling in Michigan overall, has improved on all levels. I think CMU has taken advantage of this while schools like UM have tended to overlook this.

Really like that he looks for in recruits. He has the power to attract guys who believe in themselves and not in all the hype around them.

He's excited about LIFE period. Every one of his days is a "stepping stone" to"the greatest tournament in the world"!!!!

Mr. Borelli is a great communicator. I like the Casey Cunningham reference and the ideas of recruits picking programs outside of the basic national powers.....those are the special ones, the kids that have the confidence and intelligence to see programs like CMU, Missouri, and Boise State are real opportunities , and to come in and help define a program for the future, al la Casey C, Ben A, and Cherrington....its fun to watch and read, as a fan and coach.

Notice how nobody has posted anything here for 16 hours. Has your system changed and have you made it more difficult for us to view our sport videos?
Please go back to the other way of posting the videos.

A Top recruiting class doesn't = National Championships! Please tell me the last school that had a top recruiting class that won, or won with that class in years to follow! Way way way to much hype on recruiting classes

This guy knows what is going on. He is great to talk to, and really cares about more than just winning. He wants his guys to be good people, and win at the same time. Good luck! Hopefully KSU can compete with CMU this year.

I'm an NIU alum but I have nothing but the utmost respect for Borrelli. The guy puts tough wrestlers at every weight, year and and year out. Now with a top notch recruiting class the sky is the limit for CMU. I just hope NIU can keep up...

Martin, Good interview. If more people in life concentrated on what they do have, rather than what they don't, this world would be a lot better off.
