- See Less -Doug Schwab was a 3x All American for the Iowa Hawkeyes. In 1999 his sophomore year he was crowned NCAA champion. After college he became an assistant to Tom Brands. He went with Brands to Virginia Tech and followed him here at Iowa where he continues to work with his old team. In the 2007 World Trials he pulled off the upset of the tournament by going through every opponent to become the USA representative in the 2007 World Championships.
I'm so happy to see a native of little Osage, Iowa going to the Olympics!!!
Congratulations brother...
Great Guy, remember him from Rio 2006, he wrestled very well and beat the cuban on one incredible match.
Doug,
Nakis,
Shut your mouth. You don't know what you're talking about. He beat Za at Nationals, and he beat him here. The wrestlers are both amazing, but Schwab was the better wrestler when it mattered.
We're so proud of you! You do us in Osage and in Iowa very very proud! Your hard work is paying off, and it is an honor knowing you. Congratulations on your olympic berth, your new baby boy, and your new wife!
