We all have opinions about who is the best. There are plenty of ways we could look at our favorite and down play the other states. For example did not Brandon High (Fla.) have the longest winning streak (A Southern School). Greatbridge was also a great school. Let us not forget that wrestling is a sport where it all depends who shows up at the match.. Example. We all think that just because a guy is ranked high or #1doesnt mean he is going to win states or a national championship (Caldwell /Metcalf), Jon Burns/ Mario Mason...etc. Our favorites are only good til their weaknesses are exposed..

Both of these kids are great wrestlers. I did notice that Coles kept his head on the mat instead of focusing on finishing his shots. If Coles would have tried to hit a basic stand up things would have been diffrent. Lazor didnt show much effort and he is lucky that match wasnt drasticly different. Just think if Coles would have finished his shots, he was in deep more than once. I am sure his father ole assistent principle Coles is still proud.

if the northernors are going to talk trash about southern wrestling i dont see why they would pick this match considering joey lazor is ranked moderatly high nationally at 130 and this other kid is more than decent also

HUH? i can assure you that both of these are developed technically. eddie coles placed 4th at beast of the east i think you have to be pretty developed to do that.

Technically these two kids need work. You can hear from the coaching staff that they are not developed technically as well. The problem with this match is that most of the wrestling lacks solid and basic skills. Both kids are attempting to scramble the entire time and seem to forget how to finish basic shots or go-behinds. If these are some of the states best kids then they need to grow technically. They seem to have the ability, but lack the knowledge as well as the coaches

OK Tom...I was refering to the GA kid stalling in period one, just hanging on Eddie's head after 4 or 5 shots...IF SC wants to "jump levels" refs need to wake up!

Hey Chris a little Gramby action would have contributed. Chain wrestling includes some kind of roll action to create space to open other bottom moves. This scambling stuff puts kids knees in position worse then poten/Dang calls. Eddie you did good.
