It had to have been really bad for him to drop out of the Olympics. He is a great guy and an unbelievable wrestler. We wish you well DC and I can't wait to get some good old Cajun food with you when you get back. reply

If one notes, on thematforums.com college one, a lot of posters compare their wrestling weights in hs/college/int'l to their weight today; some guys wrestled at 150 in college and weigh 165 now, some guys wrestled at 142, and weigh 220. I wonder if the extreme cutting and intense workouts lead to wrestlers being more or less fit years after... reply

The individualism and accountability of wrestling made him love and follow the sport. In college he wrestled at Oklahoma State where he was a NCAA finalist losing to Cael Sanderson. Since college he has ruled in the US at his freestyle weight. In 2004 Athens Olympics he narrowly missed going to the finals and then narrowly missed medaling.
