Daniel Cormier came home with the only Freestyle medal and he got it by the skin of his teeth. He talks about the mounting pressure of unmet expectations after several years of world championships.

The individualism and accountability of wrestling made him love and follow the sport. In college he wrestled at Oklahoma State where he was a NCAA finalist losing to Cael Sanderson. Since college he has ruled in the US at his freestyle weight. In 2004 Athens Olympics he narrowly missed going to the finals and then narrowly missed medaling.
