Mike wrestled at Michigan State and was a four time letter winner. He has been involved in the sport ever since his college years. After College he coached Livonia Stevenson HS between 1992-1999. He coached 5 Michigan State Champions and 27 All State Wrestlers. Mike Krause has worked closely with the Churellas over the years. Mike Krause is founder of NXT LVL
Love this guys energy.
One of the Pee Wee coaches in our area says over and over and over, and makes the kids repeat "What is the most important thing about wrestling on your feet? STANCE." You see all the top DI wrestlers talk about not getting out of position. The very best DI level skills are actually very basic....see it at the NCAA tournament every year. What is the takedown that wins most of the time? A basic single or double leg. What allows one guy to control the other, all the time? Good hand fighting leading to good position.
Excellent coach. Wish there were more out there who balance technique and attitude.
I am sick and tired of seeing 50% of the kids at youth tournaments crying, throwing head gear and not congratulating their opponent, win or lose.
