BYU made a big mistake by cutting the Wrestling Team! He was the only coach on the staff @ BYU with an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL!! About the time the "Y" cut the wrestling team, they had a basketball coach telling recruits that "The Prophet wants you to play @ BYU!" Mark was not telling his kids that kind of trash!! He was a standup guy then, and as you can tell from the interview he is still a standup guy!! Please give him a job!!

This guy was such an intimidator. He was so strong and physical, but also had a gymnastics background, which was a whole 'nother skill set and athletic dimension. Very few like him.

I was the first Ohio posting saying something positive about Mark and his contribution. If I find Ohio who posted after me I will kick him out of ohio and ban him from wrestling! Doubt he is from Ohio though.

Great to hear from you Mark. You and your Brother were a major reason I wrestled as a kid. My coaches in Idaho Falls Idolized you two. I met Dave when I was just in Jr. high. Somebody asked him how much money he made.....Our coach had us doing push ups for an hour after he left:) When my friend Davie Swensen tells of the time Dave beat Nate Carr the hair will stand up on your spine. You may know Davie from Mtn. Crest. You coached my friend I met in the MTC, Rangy Smart. I tried hard to sell tickets for the Iowa BYU dual. I hope you are well. You have been in our hearts for all these years!!! Best, B.J.

Hey Ohio,
Is that really your name or are you just a transplant?... now you think your david taylor? don't make me call mollica or randleman! just kidding! not... But really dude, the negative vibe make's you look like an ass yourself, and make's people wonder if your really from ohio? Anyways Tool? yeah I like that band, they rock! Also... Im not asking for a job for coach Schultz, simply stating that he is way beyond being qualified and has the right temperment to coach winners, as for you? with your negative vibe, quit the sport, shut your trap, and go play basketball. PEACE AND WONLUV! Coach

Coach Schultz,
Thanks so much for sharing the inspiring story of you and your brother coming up together! You guy's have been such great ambassadors for the sport of wrestling in America, and you have coached on the highest of levels... I had the honor to meet and talk with you when I was wrestling for Portland State and we dueled BYU back in the mid 90's, and you were inspiring beyond the collegate scene then! Mark you ought to have a head coaching spot with USA WRESTLING. I am not knocking on any of the current coach's... Jones, Slay, Za, I grew up wrestling with those guy's, but coach Schultz, you and your bro' Dave were on another level! You both should be considered National treasures! thanks so much!

Two of the best ever! Insane that Mark does not have a job. USA wrestling should really consider putting him on staff. He only lives like 45 mins away I believe.

Zeb, remember those Dave Schultz shirts coach Bergman made up after he was killed? Wish I could find one that fit now.

Amazing that he only wrestled two years in high school and had a losing record his junoir year and then went on to enjoy such success. Very inspiring for young wrestles.

I'd say he's qualified. Seems like they are surrounding the team with winners. Hope it relays into some hardware in a several weeks.
